Solid copper 2 gauge stranded wire! Excellent for rear hitch mounting. If you are going to have a front mount as well as a rear mount like I do you will need to buy a 4 pack of connectors (only 3 are needed), but it’s cheaper than buying individually. My 4 pack off Amazon was $26 bucks. You will need to replace the oem factory connections that came with these wires by depressing the holding metal plate on the inside and pulling the wires out individually. Then slide into new connectors. Also I split the factory wire that came with the winch for the front mount. You will need a hydraulic crimper from Amazon $36 bucks and some heat shrinks. I have left the front mount connected to the battery and the back 24 ft wire disconnected while not in use. I found that length of copper cable was draining my battery. No shorts or grounds found. Last thing get the 175 amp 2 gauge connector’s off Amazon. They are the same size as the factory however have a plastic slit in the center of them keeping them from sliding into oem connection. If you purchase the 300 amp 2 gauge connectors those are much larger and the wires won’t crimp. I had to return that set. Unfortunately there are no dimensions on the website of the oem connector size. I hope this saves you some time as this was an easy job that could have been all done in a couple of hours, but having the wrong connectors, then waiting on returns and new deliveries made that process about 5 days unfortunately. I WIRED IT UP TO MY BATTERY AND MONTED IT UNDER MY HOOD. WHEN I PULLED OUT TO CONNECT TO THE WENCH ON MY TRAILER, IT WORKED GREAT!!! I purchased this for my 13k Open road winch setup on a hitch receiver. Easy to install and connect to my battery, (installed on a ‘12’ 3500 diesel) Not for off road, I installed this for a dual jet ski recovery in deep sand. Haven’t used it yet but I am ready for the next time my trailer sinks. My truck never has and 100’ of straps is getting old. Might sound extreme yet I am going to install a front hitch receiver for any off roading in the future. Very happy I have this now….!

Wanted to add a quick disconnect to a Panther Series 2S 13,000 lb winch. For my use in a 2017 Jeep I had to cut down the length as 24 ft was way more than I needed. Tip if you need to trim it might be easier to first feed the wire into the control box and then crimp on a connector and bend to fit as the control box one is bent to fit (suggest using a hydraulic crimper). If a quick disconnect kit that is 1-2 ft longer than the cables already on a Panther Series 2S was available I would have bought instead.
