Well, I couldn’t wait to get the open road tent , the leadtime they have is just too long. So I bought a very similar one. And had it mounted.
Just didn’t like the look, I purchased the open road cross mounts. Witcher way more aerodynamic and better looking, and it drives the tent closer to the vehicle's roof line . Which increase my fuel mileage by half a gallon. In a Toyota you need everything you can get because they suck on gas.
The crossbars came in a box that had one end gone and was closed and covered with clear tape. The mounting hardware and instructions were missing. The phone number listed is defunct.
The system you offer of messaging to get a call back is ridiculous and nobody ever returned my call after 3 attempts.
Your “customer service” rep Lulu emailed and said she would notify me of tracking when the hardware shipped. She never did that and a month later a ransom box arrived, shipped to the wrong address and had some of the hardware I needed and no instructions.
The crossbars extend approximately 6” away from the rail so I am not sure an awning will be able to be hung without long brackets and I refuse to believe they will not sag with the weight of an awning.
Your lack of customer service is appalling. I missed a trip waiting on your hardware.
The crossbars are the perfect addition to the OPENROAD 4wd Bed Cap on my Jeep Gladiator! Check out a full install and review on my YouTube channel Life Outdoors.
The rails are strong and I plan on putting a tent on it later on but for right now it’s holding a Starlink generation three on top not much of a challenge for it but it’s working really good.
Picked up a bed cap (not openroad brand) but I did pick up the crossbars so I could get the openroad RTT back up. Bars fit great, look great even without the tent. No instructions but fairly easy to figure out (not many components going on in the first place). Overall, quality and price make them pretty good.
I was going to build my own rack bars, but for the price I could do any better. Now that they are on the truck, they are super strong and I dont hear any wind noise!
Excellent !!
Your customer service is terrible, not responding to email questions. The instructions are at time vague and sometimes in correct. Missing nuts/bolts no response it's easier to go to you own hardware store then wait for you to respond!
Get your act together! Package your items like a normal company. Take responsibility for your failures and shortcomings. Stop apologizing and actually resolve an issue. Set up a customer service line instead of your standard crappy AI responses. Get a grip!
I would love to give you five stars but I just can’t. I have been messing around with you people since the middle of November. I had to get shitty on the phone and through Email to get what pieces of the order I have received. The last piece, a passenger side storage bin for my cap never has shipped. I have not had any correspondence from any one since the first week of December when I threatened to cancel my whole order then another piece of the was shipped. I love my cap and I think the cross bars will work just as intended but your communication sucks.

A call from someone in the US customer service department would be much appreciated.
I'm disappointed you have to caulk the outside instead of a rubber seal.
Had to take the seal off the back so I could shut the tailgate on my Tacoma otherwise it didn't fit.
Last and the most terrible, wired the third brake light to the truck, and it fried control modules in my truck.
Super bummed wish I would have done better homework.
Mine didn't ship with all required hardware or instruction but the customer service team jumped in quickly and sent me replacements. The bars are sturdy and well made. I'd buy them again.
No instructions provided. Missing hardware to install. Will need to run to the hardware store for missing pieces. Seller does not respond to emails. Other than that these seem solid.
The rack bars connect easily and are secure. I am the type that like things like this overly secure but I used the hardware include and then attached a rooftop tent and a 270 awning. Both attached easily. I have driven the entire set up at 75 mph, nothing came loose.
