  • OPENROAD LIMITED WARRANTY

When you purchase an OPENROAD roof tent, we want you to have a great    experience buying, installing and using the roof tent. We back the original purchaser  with a two-year limited warranty against manufacturer's defects including workmanship, parts and materials that fail under normal use.

During this initial period, OPENROAD will, at our discretion, correct the problem by replacing the repair material free of charge. Please note: Currently OPENROAD does not have an offline repair shop, so it cannot provide direct repair services. After receiving the repair materials, customers need to replace them by themselves.

After the two-year warranty period, for failures caused by normal use, we will replace parts, materials, etc. according to the specific situation. OPENROAD does not cover problems caused by user error, negligence or force majeure. The limited warranty does not cover cosmetic changes such as discoloration or changes in shell or tent material. However, we will work with you to obtain replacement parts and assist with repairs where possible.

It is the customer/owner's responsibility to perform regular maintenance and servicing to ensure that their OPENROAD will perform for its intended life. If an item is deemed "improperly maintained," the warranty may be denied.

If you experience problems with your OPENROAD after the warranty period has expired, you can count on excellent customer support. We can source spare parts (pillars, awning poles, zippers, etc.), help suggest restorations, and generally work with you to keep your OPENROAD looking its best for years to come!

Also please note that your photos or videos are necessary for us to arrange replacement repair materials during the warranty period.

After your repair report, you can expect our team to contact you within 2-3 business days to provide further assistance after reviewing your warranty claim. The warranty process may take 3-5 weeks to complete.

  • Return The Goods

Due to the very high cost of transporting OPENROAD tents from our warehouse to the customer's delivery address, we do not provide returns for delivered OPENROAD tents.

  • Cancellation of an order or change of address

Any order canceled prior to shipment may be subject to a 3.5% administration fee.
After you create a tracking number, you will be responsible for any charges incurred due to address changes or order cancellations. Depending on the situation, these fees can range from $50 to $500 (or more), plus a 20% restocking fee (if applicable). Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Free shipping on your OPENROAD roof tent via a common carrier.

Note that you need to be present when the rooftop tent is delivered.

The carrier will call to confirm the delivery time, estimated delivery time is approximately 1-2 weeks after the carrier picks up your roof tent from OPENROAD.

  • Desired Steps

The delivery company will call you to schedule a delivery appointment.


Your rooftop tent will be delivered curbside at the end of your driveway.

  • Arrival day for rooftop tents

We recommend that you inspect your OPENROAD roof tent before your delivery driver departs.

In the event of damage to the rooftop tent, please note the damage on the shipping bill as this will facilitate the replacement/return process if your rooftop tent is rejected.


Please understand that it is not the driver's responsibility to bring the rooftop tent to your garage, house, backyard, or anywhere from the curb to your neighborhood.


Also, the driver will not assist you in unpacking or setting up the roof tent.


Delivery to rooftop tents is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or Rio de Janeiro.

When your item is ready for delivery, the carrier will contact you to arrange delivery.

If for any reason your shipment is undeliverable (including, but not limited to, an undeliverable address, lift gate not requested in advance, responsible party unable to sign for shipment, or carrier unable to contact or otherwise arrange a delivery appointment with you), you are responsible for any return shipping or storage charges incurred.

  • Try not to be intimidated by the driver

They cannot leave until the bill of lading or freight bill is signed (no matter how rushed they are or how late they may be.

The carrier's driver should help you receive your shipment and answer your questions.

While your driver is there, compare the number of pieces you have received with the carrier's freight bill.

When you are sure the condition and quantity of the shipment is acceptable, you can then sign the bill of lading.

The driver will provide you with a copy that will be signed with them (as a delivery receipt).

If not provided, please request one , this is your right.The bill of lading or waybill is the only document when the goods arrive at your location, and without this document, we cannot hold others responsible for damaged or lost items.
