We are highly satisfied with the performance of the winch, particularly appreciating the inclusion of both wireless and wired remote controls. My only suggestion for improvement pertains to the unit's weight, as it is rather substantial and causes a noticeable sag in the vehicle's front end.
Wired in easy and seams to work as it should. We'll see how she does when I really need it. So far so good.

Looks good on my XJ. Haven’t had a chance to really use it yet, other than pulling it up my driveway incline to try it out. The remote worked great and no problem pulling the XJ.

I received the winch in a timely manner and had it installed in a few days. I have used it a few times in mild situations such as guiding a tree off the road or simply correcting my situation out of a ditch. The remotes work flawlessly and the winch speed is amazing!

Great winch
This company is hard to get in touch with. That being said read everything. The winch that I ordered/received is a great product. I have used it 4 times so far and have no issues. It is a strong winch and is better than the more expensive Smittybilt winch that I previously had on my vehicle. After receiving the winch and using it a little bit, I would use them again. I wish that they were easier to get in touch with. If they got that taken care of it would have been a near perfect experience. The installation was simple. It took just over 1 hour.

Openroad sends me daily emails asking me to review my order. I received the winch, but I’m still waiting on the receiver mount plate two months after placing the order. I have contacted customer support a couple of times and haven’t heard back from them. It’s kind of hard to review the products when I can’t use them. Very frustrating! Edit to add that “Lulu” from customer support emailed me two days ago and said that they had a system issue and that the mount had shipped that day. Still no tracking number….. I will NEVER order from Openroad again.

Very easy to install and I received it very quickly after ordering
I have not installed it yet as it’s going on a Jeep I’m building. However my experience has been very positive. I ordered the 10,000lb winch and after 2 weeks I had not heard anything so I started reaching out to open road. Turns out the winch I ordered was on back order and for some reason nobody had reached out to update me. So the individual who contacted me offered to upgrade my order to the 13,500lb winch at no additional charge. I took them up on the offer and I must say I have a 12,000lb badlands winch on my pickup and this more powerful open road winch is a smaller frame which will fit my jeep perfectly, the synthetic rope is of great quality and having the 2 wireless remotes along with the corded one is a nice addition.
The winch plate works great with my 12000 lb winch. Also got the camera relocator and acc relocation bracket. No complaints looks sharp.

Well packaged, have not installed it yet. Have to fabricate, a bracket to mount it on my 97 Dodge 2500.
It arrived on time, unboxed & it looks Good, compact & heavy for its size. I won't be mounting this, or even trying it out for a couple months, need to finish building the bumper,repainting the Jeep ,etc. I will let you know.
