I’ve owned my 12,000 lb Openroad for about a year, and the only time I used it to pull my 2005 TJ was when I put the initial tension on the rope. That’s being said, I have been called by a tow owner friend to pull multiple vehicles for him including an Electric company’s work van, the vehicle in the picture, and his broken International rollback (up a hill with a snatch block). I’ve also had to drag several wrecked vehicles for him. It has worked flawlessly, and everyone who has seen it, has been impressed. The volunteer Rescue Squad I’m with will be switching out a broken winch this year, and it’s probably going to be an Openroad 13,500 lb. I highly recommend them.

Purchased a while back for my tundra for piece of mind on the trails havnt had to use it yet for anything serious but looks great and seems to work great love the wireless remotes
Was a little dubious at first based on price, but I’m very impressed by the winch. Well packed. Good quality hardware and wiring. The clincher was that the relay pack is very easy to relocate unlike many other brands. I’m fitting this to a Gen 4 4Runner and the relay pack will be mounted under the hood. All in all an excellent buy.
Haven't had to use it yet and hopefully dont need to. I installed it on my Fire Department Tahoe and it looks good. So far happy with it.
Winch works great. Fast shipping and well made. My only complaint was I was never told when it shipped. So I had to email customer service. Who was helpful and told me the winch shipped and gave me the tracking number.

I’m very happy with the overall build quality and function so far! The unit was much lighter than my last 12k winch, which I’d very nice when all that weight is hanging off your front end. Sits great in the factory Rubicon bumper too!

Very nice set up , I am concerned about some hairline cracks in side supports on top of winch
My installation was a breeze. Everything "needed" was provided. I did add a relay and tied it to my Jeep factory upfitter switches. Now I can leave it powered off until needed and no opening the hood to use a manual switch. The two wireless remotes are great! One each in driver/passenger door pockets. The wired remote safely packed away for emergencies.
Best bang for your buck, works great, and comes with all the good stuff, 2 wireless remotes, wired remote, and synthetic rope, you can’t beat the price.

Ordered the 12k winch but it was on backorder. Customer service offered an upgrade to the 13,500lb at no extra charge. Installation went smooth fairly easy. I haven't had a chance to use it on the trail but I'm happy with it so far.

Winch works great! Install (once I fabricated a hidden winch plate) was super simple. Haven’t had to use it on the trail yet but tested great!
Took twenty minutes to install. I like the all black finish. It looks great. Worked perfectly after the installation. Haven't used it yet, but I'm confident it will come in handy. The only negative, is it did not come with a cover. I bought a universal cover for it but it doesn't have the Open Road logo on it. I think a free Open Road cover would be great advertising while I'm off roading.

So far so good. Excellent fit, easy set up, smooth locking and unlocking controls. It comes with 2 wireless remotes and a wired remote. Nice synthetic rope. I chose to pay extra for the winch cover they offered. I'm glad I did. It fits pretty well, and seems thick and durable. I would buy again.
