I got the winch mount as well. This came with the winch cover as a bonus which is nice. Both the winch and the bracket are top notch solid pieces of equipment and well made. Definitely recommend. I also got the 24 ft wire for rear hitch mount, and that is solid 2 gauge wire. If you are going to get the quick disconnects in 2 gauge off Amazon buy the 4 pack 175 amp ones. You only need 3 (1 to replace the factory rear connection by easily slipping out the wires on each side of connector, 1 for the winch mount, and 1 for under the hood. This if you are doing a front and rear winch mount. )

Easy installation. Plenty of power cable for my installation. But I can see where the power wires could fall a bit short for some if there battery is on the driver side. Pulling power is great and pulls at a surprising speed. So far it's fantastic and it's priced very competitively.

Overall this was an excellent Installation. Following the video and install manual was easy. The battery cables that were included really were too short. Jeep JK had the battery in the rear of the engine compartment and the only way to make the cables reach was to go and into the engine compartment instead of like the video shows (up and into the wiring channels on the side of the compartment). The cable connections on the back of the winch were tight against the Jeep OEM grill. In all, the performance is as expected. I extended the line all the way out, placed tension on it and reeled it back up.

So far so good. This Winch feel like it is great quality. Install was very straight forward. I love the fact that they give you 2 wireless remotes and a wired remote with the winch. Super Convenient to have a wireless remote and a backup if something happens on the trail (batteries do go dead after all). Freespools easily. I can't wait to put this thing through years of use on the trails.

I mounted my winch on an Arcus bumper. Didn’t have any real issues just had to move the controller forward so the wiring would not run up against the grill. Open Road and any other winch maker should give you the option of side mounting the controller. The older controller mounts do but this one DPD not. All in all a very good buy.

Put this winch to the test pulling a heavy building up on a trailer. I had to use a snatch block for extra power, but it managed to do it! I also had to load a car on the same trailer with the front wheels locked up. It drug it right on up without any issues.

So far only had this winch for about 2 weeks. First impression is very good. The winch itself is very solid. Install was super easy, especially with the synthetic line already pre-spooled. The best feature is the 3 controllers. The wired controller is very simple and basic, but the plug is thick 3 prong and doesn’t feel flimsy. The 2 wireless remotes are small and turn on with the touch of a button. I keep one in my visor panel. There’s no need to activate anything, it’s always ready to go, and that is such a convenient feature. So far only used it once to recover another vehicle. Was one of the quickest recoveries I ever did. So far so good. Can’t wait to see the long term performance of this winch.

The Openroad 13k winch only went through initial testing. Testing consisted of a pull of a wrecked upside down and abandoned vehicle. Then using the same vehicle as an anchor, a pull of my JKU Jeep towards the vehicle. Both tests were satisfactory. Are of concern was how quickly the battery on the wireless controller went out. That being said, the wired controller worked well to finish the short pull. Another area of concern is how short the (red) power wire was when installing. A bit more length would have been nice. Otherwise, so far, no issues with the winch. Thanks.

Winch came together and wired correctly. Install was easy and all hardware was included, even some stainless bolts. It appears to be a quality item and looks great on the Jeep. One of the things I like is the wiring terminations are more towards the back of the unit so no wires show from the from. I would recommend this to others. Only strange thing is the website looks like all Jeep people in the US, but communication seems to be from China and can't get anyone on the phone. Either way a great price and delivered to FL in 4 days.

The unit came well packaged, which is good considering FedEx destroyed the outer box. The winch seems to be well built, it is advertised to be waterproof, I have not tested that yet. All the equipment is in the box, 2 wireless and one wired controller, knob, hook, fairlead, even a hat. You will apparently be on your own for acquiring the wiring for electrical connections. My opinion is this is a quality winch especially for the cost. I wish that the wiring would have been included, that would have made for a more complete kit, as most others include it theirs.

Install was very quick all of the parts needed to install were in the box. Winch works great. Pointer to anyone else make sure you confirm all the screws holding the winch together are properly tightened. A few of the ones on mine weren’t all the way tight.

It showed up on time, but missing the cover though. Everything but cover was there. Installed perfectly as described, used it three times in last two weeks to recover vehicles stuck in snow. I work at 10,500 feet in the Rocky Mountains, this winch has made rescuing stranded people so much easier. I highly recommend this product.
