OPENROAD Has Become Part of Our Story
On the Fourth of July, four of us set out for Colorado on a journey we called the “True Grit of America 250.” None of us had explored the area before, but we were ready to discover where the open road would take us.
For the next nine days, we crossed the Alpine Loop, Cinnamon Pass, Engineer Pass, Ophir Pass, Red Mountain Pass, and Imogene Pass. We explored historic mines, camped near Animas Forks, and traveled through Silverton, Ouray, Lake City, and Telluride. Every day brought a new trail, a new view, and another memory we knew we would carry home.
Throughout the journey, my OPENROAD rooftop tent, awning, and shower were with us. They gave us a comfortable place to rest after long days on the trail and helped us feel at home, even in the most remote places. OPENROAD was not simply the gear we packed—it became part of how we experienced the adventure.
We finished the trip at the True Grit Ranch before continuing to the Grand Canyon. Looking back, the days passed far too quickly, but the memories remain just as vivid.
That is what OPENROAD means to me. It is more than an outdoor brand. It is a trusted companion that helps turn ambitious plans into real journeys and unfamiliar places into unforgettable stories.
