Hard shell Roof Top Tents are superior to softshell models in terms of protection from the elements. The sturdy structure provides better insulation and protection from the elements. In addition, hard shell Roof Top Tents can be set up and put down faster, usually within a minute, while softshell models take more time. In terms of durability, hardshell tents will last longer because the outer shell protects the inner fabric from damage.
