Pros: build quality…its best quality Cons: support fasteners do not fit the 3rd Gen Tacoma well…modifications required. Directions are useless. You need to know what you are doing basically. The outer edge of the slot rails run on an angle towards the rear of the bed. Its like a 1” difference from the back to the front of bed. With the above out of the way…once I made my own fasteners that fit the 3rd Gen Tacoma 5’ bed…it was snug and sealed tight. There is a seal under attached to the underside of the left and right rail to keep it sealed to the bed. I opted to add additional .25” thick closed cell foam to pad it more but complete the seal around the entire bed. If you purchase the locking option…there are zero directions how to use the lock. I still don’t know what the button does as the pull rope is what engages/disengages the lock. When you are installing…make sure you roll the cover out to make sure the lip is not in the cover when attaching the rails…you will see…again…the directions are bad. Other than that…its not a bad tonneau cover for the price. Now lets see how ling it lasts before something breaks or fades.
