There is a lot of things about this rope that I really like! first things first I really like that it comes with a bag, It helps a lot at keep the rope organized in the bed of the truck. I also like how the bag is perforated as that's going to help let the rope dry out after getting pulled out of the mud, honestly a really nice attention to detail that will definitely extend the life of the rope. One thing that I was very happy to see was the MBS and the MWL were actually printed directly on the rope its self that's a huge safety feature that I have not seen on many other ropes that really should be the standard. as far as the rope its self I i really like that the loop has a sheath to protect it, I have broken a number of ropes at the loop and I suspect this will provide some added protection Finally I'm very impressed with the splice it goes a solid 6 inches into the rope so I highly doubt the splice will be a weak point Over all I am very pleased with it, it feels like a solid rope and should last me plenty of trips out of the mud.

Ordered this Kinetic Recovery Tow Rope - 36000 Lbs (1") x 30ft Black - Extreme Duty 35% Elasticity - 12,000 LB working Load Rated - for use in my work. I dig trenches for contractors & homeowners for water lines, electrical, cable, fiber optics and water problems (drainage problems). Have ride on & walk behind machines, and often digging 3-4 ft deep and often wet at times and often get stuck in the mud. I'm usually alone when digging w/no help, and when this happens I either have to call a tow truck, or get pulled out all by myself. Towing Co's charges me $100-$150 for winching me 30ft. So I started looking for a solution and shopping online for something long enough & strong to pull my machines out myself with my own truck. While reading and seeing this rigid tow rope, it's breaking strength of 36,000 LBs, I knew it was for me and ordered it. This baby was my answer. It's a beast. It's 100% Nylon and 1" diameter. I like that it's 30 ft long and also like the heavy duty end loops that's already designed and affixed together, ready to pull. It came with a nice material satchel to keep it under my back seat. I have already used it a few times while getting stuck. I've pulled both machines out with my own truck. I like that I can quickly just hook it over the ball on my hitch and trenchers frame arm and pull it right out of trouble. Have already saved money with this nice rope. I do recommend this rope - I have to give it a (5) star rating

I really like the rope in this kit. 1" in diameter with a weight rating that exceeds my vehicle limit will definitely suffice for my needs. I carry couple different straps and shackles as well. The soft shackles that cone with this kit seem to be subpar compared to the rope itself. Not having used them yet it's difficult to say. Overall it is a good value.

I was surprised that this was as thick as it is. The rope is 1.75 inches wide - and heavy. The soft shackles are nice and come with protective sleeves. I have used kinetic ropes in the past and they are the greatest thing ever for pulling out stuck vehicles. I have no doubt that this rope can pull out any full size truck/vehicle. This has a breaking strength of 36000 lbs - but is designed to pull out vehicles at a 1/3 of that breaking strength - so it could basically jerk out any vehicle that weighs 12000 pounds. My first experience using a kinetic recovery rope was when I had a friends full size dodge ram pickup break thru the ice from a big water puddle on a dirt road. It bottomed out the frame of the truck. I tried a non-kinetic rope using a full size truck - and tried 'jerking' him out and broke the rope - didn't budge the vehicle. We called a towing company and they sent out a 3/4 ton pickup - and I thought to myself 'No way' is he going to pull out this truck. They attached a kinetic rope and then took off really fast and stretched the rope and the stuck vehicle popped right out. I was forever sold on this technology. I have not actually used this item yet - and may never need to, but knowing I have it in my pickup gives me a sense of relief when traveling the back country.

The products look great. The bag they came in is worthless but you should your own bag anyways.

Kinetic rope is well built and the storage bag is a plus. Yet to use it but I’m sure it will surpass my expectations. Love the Open Road gear!

No pics to share but I am thankful to have this rope in my gear bag. Once winter passes I’m back into the TN mountains where it will payoff!

I would hope I would never need to use the kinetic rope but when and if I ever do, I’m sure it will not let me down. Thank you so much for your support and look forward to purchasing many more products from your company in the future.

Haven't had a chance to use it yet. I do note that the construction of the kinetic rope loops do not appear to be as well constructed as others I've seen but only time will tell.

Haven’t had a chance to put it to the test yet, but arrived as described. The soft shackles were stiff, but after working them back and forth, they are more malleable now.

Ok this is my update so Far. Raised to a 4 now. I received missing part of order so very happy. Sad because I never heard from the customer service of open road. I think it's great they took care of the issue, however they should be reaching out to their customers that are having issues. I look forward to next update when the rope and shackles get used. Thanks for getting it fixed.

It works well enough. I've used it in several recoveries. I just towed a lady 45 miles on the interstate which destroyed the rope. Dragging sometimes, tight others. Was never run over, and worked really well even at 40+ mph the whole way. Never had a strap or rope last for more than 2 recoveries of that magnitude, so I'll definitely recommend it especially for the price.
