Closing in the back to keep the draft under the vehicle and still be able to enter your trunk space is great. I was hesitant at first but seamlessly ties in to your awning walls and works perfectly.
Put in a exchange online before it was shipped and they said it was all taken care of. They sent the passenger one anyway. Been battling with customer service for weeks now by email. They never respond timely.Had to send multiple pictures of the side wall and finally got a label to send it back. It showed it was delivered back to their warehouse and no exchange for the driver side trunk sidewall is in sight.Still hasn't been sent or conveyed they have sent it. Also half of this order still hasn't been delivered which is a soft top ladder but I do not want it. Finally after weeks they refunded for the ladder then went dark about the exchange. Great products poor customer service (or lack there of). After this I probably wont order anything else.
I took it to the beach it seemed to work very good… I will need more time with it to know if it works very good over different conditions, but so far everything is working as it should
We have purchased the wall units and didn’t get the rear section. We were at expo east and ordered it then. Haven’t used it yet but I’m looking forward to.
Good quality material as I’ve come to expect with the OpenRoad.
The Trunk Sidewall was easy to add, zipping into the existing panels with ease. To have almost a sealed in room from the weather elements is great. However another main feature is to be able to gain access to the trunk. Sadly the trunk opening (accessible via a zip) was nowhere near wide enough for my 4x4.
There were no dimensions on the website for the trunk width and despite emailing twice asking for the dimensions, I received no reply.
So sadly not a positive experience.
I like how the rear awning wall helps to almost complete the protection from harsh weather. Does not protect from rain when accessing the rear of the vehicle. It does have a zippered door but with my type of vehicle the rain just slides between the panel and pours into the open rear door. I think a partial roof covering would be a better fit to stop water intrusion.
No oohs and ahs here. The side zippers connect to what? Am I doing something wrong? Still have the gapping hole at the end of the 270 awning when its deployed. This is a waste of money. Zipped across the top fine. The zippers were functional. I see no real benefit.
