Great Quality and Extremely Easy to Use! I’m really impressed with the OpenRoad 180 Awning! It is incredibly easy to deploy and pack back up, even when doing it by yourself. The awning feels very sturdy, and the materials seem to be high quality and built to last. I also love the walls and how simple they are to install. They attach easily with zippers, and the zippers are even color-coded, making it easy to match each wall to the correct location. Can't wait to use it on my next adventures!
Great awning
By far the easiest awning to setup and put away. Plenty of shade when its open. The material is sturdy and the poles helped out a lot when there was strong winds. Everything held up with no issues.
Great add on to the truck. Keeps the rain off us and plenty of light for projects under the awning. Super glad I added it. Excited to get another on for the other side of the truck.
It was what inspected. It works pretty good easy to install. It looks great on my trailer.
What a great addition to my rig. Easy to install. I love the ease of opening and closing the awning. So many wonderful features… the LED lights, built in stablizing poles and heavy duty construction. Just an outstanding product. This will really enhance my overland situation.

So, I got upgraded to the 270, which was to replace an older roll out canopy I had. To say I’m overjoyed would be an understatement. The installation was a snap (I had to purchase U bolts to mount to my existing rounded rack system), and fast. The first time I opened the canopy I was blown away at how easy it was, and only one person needed. The storage footprint on my vehicle is small, I can easily get my tarp over at night, and the overall ease of the 270 makes it a must have for anyone looking for this kind of cover. Two words, BUY IT!!

This has to be one of the easiest awnings to set up. It's made camping a breeze and has been great even in a downpour in the PNW. Definitely recommend it!

This awning is incredibly well-built and durable. Installation was straightforward, and setting it up at camp is even easier. It handles wind very well, and the included support legs provide extra stability when conditions get gusty. One of my favorite features is the integrated lighting, which adds a great touch for evenings outdoors. What really stands out, though, is the overall quality of the product. Love my new 180°. I had the 270° for years but when I bought my new truck it wouldn't fit for the specific application that I wanted to do with the new truck. My buddy loved my 270° so much that he bought it off me and installed it on his truck cap, and I knew immediately that I wanted to stick with you guys for my replacement, so I jumped in and ordered the 180° and couldn't be happier. These images show my old one on my buddy's truck as well as my new one, both of which survived a monster storm that night without the legs deployed! Keep up the great work! 👌 💪

Easy setup and rock solid quality.
Really nice product. It's made of high quality material that should last. there are two small gaps at the top left and right of the swing arms which should not be a problem. the fit is perfect from front to back and I can still open the back hatch enough to stand upright at 5'8. The straps are too short and a little cheap, but I replaced them with set of Tork Straps. Also the flip down legs seem a fragile, but ok. I just bought Tiegear Awning tiedowns which should do the trick. I also bought the sides for the 180 Awning.
So far I like it. My only wish is that there was a better way to store the poles
Nice awning. Seems to be very sturdy. I set it up in 20 mph winds. Wanted to test it out so I stayed close. After observing it in these high winds I felt very confident in the awning. I would give it 5 stars but the awning side walls need some work. Grommets in the bottom would be nice to anchor the walls down. I used rocks to help. Also the awning could use the 4th/5th corner walls to make a much more complete structure. I am in contact with open road support for these walls to be made. Until then I’ll hold the 5 star rating. Largely because the awning comes with zippers for these walls however they just are not provided at this time. Over all quality material etc. seems top notch. Easy to mount fast to set up. Oh… the awning straps that hold the corners out are to short. So I used small cargo straps for that.

The product is absolutely amazing for the price. I have had more expensive awnings that were nowhere near as nice as this. The material is heavy duty, the setup and install time are very quick and easy.
Have not taken it out on a trip yet. However, the material seems very high quality. Very fast install and very easy.What I love about this awning is the setup start to finish. Really quick to open and ready to go. If I had any gripes it would be just 2. 1. I have a Yakima round bars. No installation hardware included for that type of rack. 2. Tie off straps are too short. I will need to purchase additional straps to tie it off. Even with those two gripes. I still love this awning. Well worth the purchase.

Perfect fit for the Lexus GX550 and the original Lexus roof rack. It made the perfect pairing with the Thule Approach L roof tent. The setting up was very easy following the installation instructions. Opening it and closing it could be simpler. Sturdy but beautiful look. The lighting system is a plus!

Alll of my friends love their 270"s, so I was familiar with Openroad's quality of construction and value, I didn’t even look at anybody else’s products. Determined the 180 would work better for my SUV, the only regret I have is not getting one sooner! This awning sets up faster than any tent or shelter, which is great if it’s already raining when you arrive at camp. The walls make car camping with a dog in inclement weather a lot more enjoyable.
Hello I recently order the 180 awning and I love it! Cant wait to use it on my next adventure. However, upon installing it for the first time I noticed that one of the small support pole was bent and chipping of paint. Also that The Little bracket for it was bent. The pole I am referring to is meant to slope the rain. The other one seems to be fine and works good but the other one was bent and chipped when I opened it. I am willing to send pictures. Will you send a replacement part for this? Thank you!

A little tricky to balance and mount up but measuring for the crossbar placement helps a lot. Amazing fit and finish and spans the length of my truck. Great coverage. The light bars and legs are an awesome touch. 👌🏽 very satisfied with the 180 awning. Have yet to zip on the side walls but I don't anticipate any issues.

Love this thing! We replaced another brand 270 with the Openroad 180 awning, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Love the freestanding design. Even with the wind blowing we have yet to put the optional legs down and this thing stays in place and holds up like a champ! If you are considering this, go for it… and if you have been frustrated with other awnings in the past, get ready for a whole new awning experience! 100% satisfied customer!!

Good design and well constructed. Great value at sale prices. Would be better if they engineered a quick release system where you could take it down without having to unbolt.
This awning is a very easy install with a lot of options for crossbars. It's sturdy, opens up and is stored very easily. It's definitely the one I have been holding out for and at the price, I don't think you'll find better and the LED lighting on it is a brilliant finishing touch!
